Zurich Financial Services has completed the sale of its German health insurance business to Deutsche Kranken-versicherung (DKV).
DKV has purchased Zurich Krnaken-versicherung AG, as well as the 45% stake Zurich subsidiary Deutscher Herold AG holds in Globale Kranken-versicherung AG.
The deal, first announced in Marsh 2004, went through for an undisclosed sum.
It includes a distribution agreement which will allow Zurich Group Germany to take advantage of the size and competences of DKV for its clients, said Zurich.
