Zurich has announced the appointment of Neil Fraser to the new role of claims market services manager.
In this newly created role, Fraser will be responsible for supporting and working with Zurich's market-facing business divisions, and helping to design new claims propositions. Fraser will act as a dedicated link between claims and the broker teams.
Fraser said: “I am looking forward to taking on this new role within the business. It's completely new territory for Zurich and the wider industry, so I'm keen to get started. I am the focal point for claims teams in terms of providing a completely new claims service to support the business when it enters a new sector, or if it wants to adapt current processes to changing market conditions.”
Bill Paton, chief claims officer, said: “Claims handling is the most tangible measure of any insurer, and we felt it was important to take the new step of creating dedicated support to develop the ‘claims proposition'. Neil will be actively discussing claims innovations with his colleagues across the business, and facilitate the development of new claims differentiators that will set Zurich apart from the competition. We've already done some excellent work as the first insurer in the industry to have a dedicated ‘Major Loss Team' managing large property claims such as Buncefield, and we want to build on that.”
Since September 2006, Fraser has been on secondment to Zurich's commercial direct business as a regional sales manager, prior to that he was senior claims relationship consultant.
