Former technology services director makes step up
Xchanging has appointed James Kruger as managing director of Xchanging Broking Services (XBS).
Based in London, Kruger, who starts with immediate effect, will report to executive director Nimish Soni.
Having joined Xchanging in 2011, prior to his promotion, he was the implementation director for Xchanging Technology Services and also held responsibility for implementation globally.
Specialising in delivery and start up activities, in his new role his main responsibilities will be developing relationships with both existing and new customers, and extending Xchanging’s capabilities in business processing into the insurance broking community.
Kruger’s earlier career included senior roles at Barclays, HBOS, Lloyds and several automotive companies including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Toyota and General Motors, where he was responsible for delivering large scale organisational and technology led change. He was also responsible for developing the Barclays global IT workforce strategy and led a team of 700 change agents.
Soni said: “It gives me great pleasure to announce James’ appointment and I look forward to working with him as we seek new opportunities to grow our business and support our existing customers.
“The move will be particularly important for XBS as James carries with him a strong track record in business process engineering, consultancy, technology and customer delivery. With over 24 years relevant experience, he has an acute awareness of delivering in complex environments and ability to drive efficiency and develop customer relationships.”
Kruger said: “I am delighted to be leading an operation with such an enviably diverse service pedigree in processing, finance, banking, UK retail, and insurance run-off services. The ability to be innovative with our customer solutions using highly specialist delivery centres both in the UK and offshore, combined with our capability in broking software, offers compelling propositions for flexible and agile routes to market, and a variety of options for cost efficiencies and operational excellence.”
