Broking chief becomes senior adviser at Willis’s former owner
Former Willis chief executive Joe Plumeri has joined New York buy-out firm KKR, a one-time owner of Willis, as an adviser.
His first role will be to join the board of payment processing firm First Data Corporation, which KKR took private in 2007, according to Dow Jones.
KKR took Willis private with a buy-out in 1998 in a $1.7bn deal. Plumeri took the company public again in 2001 after taking over as chief executive in 2000.
Plumeri left Willis at the beginning of this year, handing the reins to new chief executive Dominic Casserley.
