Michael Neborak joins broker from MSCI
Insurance broker Willis Group Holdings has hired Michael Neborak as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Neborak will join the company on July 6 and report to CEO Joe Plumeri.
Willis appointed group financial controller Stephen Wood as interim CFO in February following the departure of Patrick Regan, who left to become CFO of Aviva.
Neborak will be based in New York, but will also work out of Willis’s executive offices in London. He joins Willis from equity index provider MSCI, where he was CFO and part of the senior management team that took the company public in November 2007.
Before joining MSCI, Mr. Neborak worked for Citigroup and its predecessors from 1982 to 2006, most recently as divisional CFO for the Global Operations and Technology Group and the Alternative Investments Group.
“Mike is an outstanding CFO with broad experience in the financial services sector,” said Plumeri in a statement. “He brings great skill and deep background to our senior management team and joins Willis at an important moment in our company’s history. With Mike helping to lead the charge, we will continue to build on our successes and work to accelerate our growth, while we maintain our expense discipline and further strengthen our balance sheet.”
