Law firm Weightmans is warning brokers to be wary of the legalities when jumping on the internet bandwagon.
The firm thinks many are ignoring key legal issues such as how to avoid breaching the copyright of others.
"Although the internet offers wonderful business opportunities it is also a minefield for the unprepared or uninformed," said James Powell, intellectual property specialist. "Our feeling is that many are in danger of exposing themselves to a significant level of risk."
