Appoints Ian Green and Luis Prato to the underwriting team of its Lloyd's syndicate
AEGIS London, the UK-based subsidiary of Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services (AEGIS), has made two new senior appointments to the underwriting team of its Lloyd’s syndicate.
Ian Green, formerly a power utility underwriter with ACE Global Markets, will join AEGIS London reinforcing the technical leadership of the company in its core business.
Also newly appointed to the underwriting team is Luis Prato, until recently vice president, Energy for Allied World Assurance Company (Europe) in London.
David Croom-Johnson, active underwriter of AEGIS London, commented: “Ian and Luis are both well known and respected individually in the London market; working together they will make an extremely impressive team. With their in-depth knowledge of power underwriting in the U.S. and Europe, plus their wide experience of the market generally, they are a very welcome addition to AEGIS and will reinforce our reputation for leadership in the power insurance market.”
Green’s underwriting experience includes roles with HSB, Cox and AIG. Before moving to ACE in 2004 he was a broker with Marsh and Aon. .
Prato joined Zurich Global Energy before moving to Allied World Assurance Company (Europe) in 2001.
Prato will start on 15 July. The start date for Green is yet to be confirmed.
