Yorkshire broker’s sales rose to £4.6m
Romero Insurance Brokers has reported an 18% jump in turnover and moved to a larger head office in Leeds.
Turnover rose from £3.9m to £4.6m in the year to 30 April 2013, while pre-tax profits grew 31.9% to £363,662.
Sister company NDML, a specialist broker for leisure venues including night clubs and lap dancing bars and sports clubs, saw turnover rise from £1.5m to £1.8m. Pre-tax profits dipped from £179,841 to £106,607 after it increased staff numbers and bought new company cars.
Both companies, majority owned by chairman Justin Romero-Trigo, moved to a 12,000 sq ft head office this week. The office, near Leeds Bradford Airport, is twice the size of the group’s old head office and houses 95 members of staff.
Romero-Trigo said: “We have a great team working for us and it is important we have the facilities and working environment to continue to attract the best people no matter which office in the group they work from.”
Romero, which achieved chartered status last year, has targetted becoming a £18m brokerage.
