The forthcoming Lloyd's Council elections have been causing ructions among members of the High Premium Group.

Its chairman, and candidate for election, Lady Rona Delves Broughton complained about a letter that was sent out endorsing her rival, Paul Kelly.

One of the signatories to the letter was Sir Josslyn Gore-Booth, a member of the High Premium Group board. Delves Broughton claimed that this implied that the High Premium Group was supporting her rival.

Lloyd's itself has looked at the letter and decided it didn't imply that the whole of the group was endorsing Kelly, only that one of its members did.

Gore-Booth, however, is now an ex-member of the group's committee after being voted off the board last week.
