Towergate Underwriting has agreed to market fleet driver safety management company GreenRoad's driver safety and fuel economy service to its clients.

GreenRoad said by offering its services, Towergate will help its clients cut their accident claims rate and negotiate more favourable insurance premiums.

It added that through the partnership, Towergate will also gain intelligence about risk and safety levels, leading to more effective risk management strategies and tailored insurance offerings that reflect the reduced risk.

Towergate has already signed up seven customers to use GreenRoad’s service with deployments numbering hundreds of vehicles and drivers. Examples include EJ Masters Nightfreight delivery service and Transworld Logistics (TWL).

According to GreenRoad, EJ Masters cut risk by 65% using the product, while TWL saw a 45% improvement in safety.

The new Towergate partnership adds to the ones GreenRoad already has with Marsh, Zurich, Belmont and Admiral.
