Towergate reshuffles Scottish managment as McEwan promoted
Towergate has acquired a four-strong team from Heath Lambert to boost its Aberdeen business.
Mark Webster will become managing director and will take the reins prior to the retirement of current boss, Stewart McAra, later this year.
The rest of the former Heath Lambert team making the move to Towergate includes Brian Cawthorn, Kevin Wiebe and Leiane MacLeod.
Towergate has also promoted regional managing director of Scotland Alan McEwan to the new role of acquisitions and projects director.
Speaking about the new team from Heath Lambert, McEwan said: "We are delighted with our latest signings and Mark and his team are an excellent acquisition and a perfect fit for our Aberdeen business.
"Stewart McAra’s shoes will be difficult to fill, but he and I are confident that we have great people in place who will continue to lead and grow the business.”
McEwan's new role will see him work closely with newly acquired broking businesses within Towergate.
As a result of his promotion, Towergate MIA managing director Kenny Hogg, has been promoted to regional managing director for Scotland, encompassing Newcastle and Teesside.
Towergate MIA deputy managing director Keith Longthorne it to become managing director of MIA, which specialises in the GP and dentistry insurance market.
