Torus appoints Swiss senior underwriter

Specialty insurer Torus has appointed Michael Kuprianczyk as senior underwriter of its professional lines division, based in Zurich.

Kuprianczyk will focus on growing the insurer’s professional indemnity coverage in Switzerland, as well as assist in the expansion of Torus D & O and PI business in Italy and Eastern Europe.

Kuprianczyk joins Torus from Allianz, where he was chief underwriter for financial lines in Switzerland. He has also held a previous underwriting position position at Chubb in Zurich.
