Pru boss could replace Breedon this summer
Prudential chief executive Tidjane Thiam has been approached by the ABI to become its new chairman, according to the Financial Times.
The current ABI chairman is Legal & General chief executive Tim Breedon, who leaves the trady body and the insurer at the end of June.
Prudential said earlier this week that it is still considering moving its headquarters to Hong Kong over the cost of Solvency II.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
