Lloyd’s wholesale and retail broker THB has formed a partnership with the Independent Buying Consortium (IBC) in a move to reduce costs for its agency base.

The partnership will give THB agents with the opportunity to purchase office supplies, IT hardware, software support, financial solutions, telecommunications products and corporate marketing services at a reduced rate, said THB.

THB finance director Rib Wilkinson, said the partnership would enable smaller business to take advantage of the discounts typically offered to major firms and buyers, improving margins considerably.

THB has agencies with over 1,000 UK brokers and places in excess of £200m of gross written premiums across fleet, commercial and personal lines.

The partnership will be launched at Biba conference, with a major marketing campaign due during the summer months.
