Ten Insurance, the fast-growing network for start-up brokers, is targeting businesses in Northern Ireland following its expansion into Wales.
The Buckinghamshire-based network, which has members from around the UK, recently added its first appointed representative in South Wales.
Kedric Rhodes, Ten director, said the network was now hoping to attract businesses from Northern Ireland.
“Northern Ireland is on our radar and we have made some inquiries and discussed it with insurers. The attitude has changed over the past couple of years. Insurers are more positive about it now than before.”
Ten has gained 32 members since its launch in February 2005 and expects to have over 35 by the end of the year.
The network, which specialises in commercial lines products, currently has annual gross written premiums of about £10m. The target is to grow this to between £20m and £25m by the end of next year.
