Standard & Poor's has withdrawn it's A- long term counterparty credit rating and insurer financial strength rating for UK-based CNA Insurance Company (Europe).
Standard & Poor's said the ratings action followed the November 2003 merger of CIE with CNA Insurance.
The ratings for CIE remain on CreditWatch with negative implications, said Standard & Poor's.
