RSA responds following fine by Polish courts for slur on brokers
RSA has stressed the adverts for its Polish-subisdary, Link4, were screened several years ago, before the group bought the business.
RSA also says the court ruled the adverts were true and useful, but conceded that the content was offensive to some parties.
The response comes after Insurance Times revealed yesterday that RSA was fined £21,329 and forced to apologise in the Polish media for portraying brokers as desperate and weak men who were losing their customers.
A spokesman said: "The court rejected the intermediaries' appeal and ruled that the advertisements were true and useful and did not mislead the customer, but conceded that the content was offensive to some parties. The advertisements last aired several years ago, long before RSA acquired control of the business, so while we will abide by the judgement we also look forward to moving on.'
