Ian Ritchie has resigned as a director of Stuart Alexander and will leave the company at the end of the month to become a consultant.
Ritchie, a former Insurance Brokers' Registration Council (IBRC) councillor and a well known figure in the broker industry, emphasised the split was "entirely amicable".
Ritchie said: "It's been more than a year since my old company Foreman Bassett joined the Stuart Alexander Group.
"A lot of work has gone into integrating the companies and now that's more or less complete, I feel the time is right for me to move on."
Ritchie said he would work as a risk management consultant with Stuart Alexander, but would also be seeking other work.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
