TF Bell opens Leicester city centre office
Hinckley-based broker The TF Bell group is to open new offices in Leicester, reported the Leicester Mercury.
The new office, located in the city centre’s Castle Street is due to open before June.
The expansion comes following the recent retirement of chief executive David Dolby, the appointment of chief executive Stephen Hough and Stewart Cooper as group managing director.
TF Bell is looking to independent financial advisers and account executives as part of the company’s expansion.
Churchill to create 100 call centre jobs in Lanarkshire
Churchill is to create 100 call centre jobs in Uddingston, Lanarkshire as part of a move into the personal loans market, reported The Herald.
Recruitment for the full and part time sales advisor and sales team leader positions began this week, although Churchill loans will not be launched until the summer.
Churchill loans had of communications Julie Moulsdale said the company hoped to attract both existing Churchill insurance customers as well as new customers to its new personal finance offerings.
UK car premiums highest in Liverpool, claims survey
Liverpool is now the most expensive UK city in which to insure a car, claimed a new survey, reported the Daily Post, Liverpool.
The survey from online insurance search engine confused.com said the average premium in the city was £929.44, twice as much as in the cheapest city, Dundee.
It put the jump in premiums down to car owners falling victim to thieves, as well as a rise in the amount of car vandalism.
Confused.com said the UK average for a fully comprehensive was £590.26.
Previously, Manchester was the most expensive place in which to buy insurance, but the Confused.com survey revealed that cover there now costs £13.21 less than in Liverpool.
