The sale of Royal & SunAlliance’s Scandinavian operations could be worth £875m, analysts predicted in a report.
The insurer said the approaches for its operations in Sweden and Denmark had been for both its life and non-life businesses, with a collective value of £1.2bn.
According to the report, the insurer said it was an “open secret” that its life insurance arm of its Scandinavian operations had been up for sale for the past two years.
