RAC Claims Service has launched a UK repairer network for commercial vehicles.
The service is a joint initiative between the RAC and DuPont Refinish.
The RAC said the service was designed to help insurers and fleet customers manage their commercial vehicle repair costs more effectively and improve their customer service standards.
The RAC said the service was an expansion to its already established branded repairer network. It said it could now handle repairs for a range of vehicles from motorcycles to HGVs.
RAC head of product development Phil Manchester said: “RAC Claims Services has invested considerable resource in the development of its branded repairer network and is proud of the levels of service and cost effectiveness achieved.
“We know from research that insurers and fleet managers regularly face problems with commercial vehicle repair, and by partnering with DuPont Refinish we now have a new network that can help speed up repairs and lower the cost of claims for the larger and more complex vehicle types.
“We already offer other relevant services, such as HGV recovery and load continuation through RAC Commercial Assistance, so this is a natural fit with our other claims services.
“This is part of our development to offer an end-to-end solution for insurers and fleet customers, either on our own or with our partners.”
