Insurance systems consultancy Insuretec has launched an online insurance search engine for consumers, to help them find the specific type of insurance they need, and the intermediary or broker who can provide it.
Insurance-broker.biz is a database of brokers and intermediaries. Brokers subscribe to the service and are allowed to choose up to 100 key words that will take an insurance seeker to their business and contact details.
Membership of the search engine includes a free listing in the website's directory of brokers. The directory allows consumers to search for brokers by name, post code, town or region.
The site is an extension of Insuretec's business-to-business broker introduction services, which are aimed at helping broker mergers and acquisitions.
Insuretec founder Paul Moran said that through the introduction service, which has been running for just over two years, Insuretec had collected details on more than 7,000 brokers.
