Novae appoints underwriting director

Bill Edrich, Novae Group's medical malpractice underwriting manager, has been appointed underwriting director of its insurance company, Novae Insurance.

Commenting on his promotion, Edrich said: "This is a great opportunity and I look forward to driving the insurance company forward while overseeing the Group's medical malpractice underwriting unit."

Peter Matson, the Group's chief underwriting officer, said: "Bill brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the role of NICL underwriting director.

"He enjoys strong relationships with brokers and colleagues and we are delighted he has taken up this position to further develop NICL."

Novae's insurance company currently writes regional PI, London market PI, directors' and officers' liability, general liability and medical malpractice risks.
