The broker hopes the deal will give it greater access to aviation clients
Insurance Times top three broker Willis Towers Watson has entered into a corporate partnership with the UK airports trade body, the Airport Operators Association (AOA).
The deal gives WTW greater access to offer its products and advisory services to AOA’s members, who comprise 50 airports and 150 associate members, mainly suppliers to the aviation industry.
WTW will be able to join policy-making forums, and other outreach events, it said in a statement.
The company’s chief executive of aerospace, John Rooley, said the partnership formalises its relationship with the AOA, and the broker was ”looking forward to working in tandem on future strategic initiatives”.
Commenting on the deal, AOA’s chief executive Karen Dee added: “We are proud to have Willis Towers Watson as our newest Corporate Partner.
”Their extensive expertise and global reach will be of great value to the AOA’s members, and strengthen further the collaborative community nature of UK airports and UK aviation more generally.”
Last year, WTW’s aerospace team launched the Airport Risk Community to bring airport operators together to discuss risks.
The purpose of ARC is to connect groups of professionals worldwide to share knowledge, data and insight through events and help the industry understand actions to take in the event of risk.
