’His extensive background and understanding of the sector will provide a significant boost,’ says chief executive
Insurance technology firm Vipr Solutions has appointed Martin Blackburn as its new chairman, a statement released yesterday (17 August 2023) revealed.
Blackburn’s career spans over 25 years and brings experience from working with start-ups, scale-ups and organisations growing into multinational entities.
He is currently the chairman of LRQA, Omada, Plandek and Simplify.
”It’s the perfect timing for me to team up with Vipr as their chairman,” Blackburn said.
“The Vipr value proposition attracted me and I believe, given my experience, I can support the business to grow faster. Vipr chose me as much as I chose Vipr.”
’Extensive background’
Blackburn’s career began in engineering with British engineering and telecoms company Marconi.

Paul Templar, founder and chief executive of Vipr, said: “His extensive background and understanding of the sector will provide a significant boost to the company’s growth trajectory.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
