The appointees have been promoted after several years with the business
London-based Antares Global Management has announced a new commercial division leadership team.
The commercial arm, which comprises Syndicate 1274 and Bermuda-based Antares Re, is headed by Mark Graham as chief executive.
He will now be supported by three divisional heads. They are Martin Campbell, James Glynn and James Thomas.
All three have been promoted after several years with the business.
Graham said: “I am delighted to be able to announce the leadership structure that we have put in place for the new Antares commercial division.
“Campbell, Glynn and Thomas are all talented individuals and under their leadership I look forward to continued strong performance on both the syndicate and reinsurance areas of the business in 2025.”
Roles
Campbell, who joined the firm in 2019, has been appointed as head of the casualty FinPro division and chair of the Antares underwriting committee.

And Thomas has been appointed head of the specialty division. In December 2015, he joined the group as a political and financial risks underwriter and became class underwriter in January 2020.
Graham said: “Congratulations to them all in taking on these new roles, which also reflect our growth and success as a business under the leadership of Mike van der Straaten.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
