Insurance Times rounds up the biggest moves and promotions from 3 to 7 February 2025
Starting off the week, RSA’s David Enoch announced he was retiring following a 40-year career in the financial services industry.
Enoch, who most recently served as distribution and proposition director at the insurer, will be in touch with brokers “to ensure a smooth transition and continuous, uninterrupted service”.
Then, Markerstudy’s former chief operating officer Dan Fiehn announced he had returned to the group as its new group chief technology officer.
Fiehn, who previously spent 10 years with the firm, will be responsible for overseeing the technology and data teams in his new role.
Following this, Arch Insurance promoted four senior members to new regional manager roles across the UK.
Ian Grundy, Janice Mullan, Tony O’Reilly and Janine Starkie will take responsibility for the Midlands and south west, south and Thames Valley, London and the Home Counties, as well as the north and Scotland, respectively.
After that, HDI Global appointed Geoff Godwin as its new chief operating officer for the UK and Ireland.
Godwin, who brings 32 years of experience, joins from AIG, where he held the same role for the last 10 years.
This week also saw Pen Underwriting’s Richard Webb decide to retire.
Webb, who is currently the managing director of UK financial lines and specialty liability at the MGA, is retiring from the industry after a career spanning almost 40 years.
Rounding off the week, Allianz Trade announced that Sarah Murrow, its UK and Ireland chief executive, will take up the reins at the firm’s Americas business later this year.
Murrow will succeed James Daly, who has decided to retire on 30 June 2025.
