Insurance Times rounds up the biggest appointments and promotions from 16 to 20 December 2024

Starting off the week, Allianz announced that it had revamped its commercial digital trading team with a range of new senior appointments and promotions.

Among the new appointees are Raj Variyar, Emmanuel Peltant, Anneke Graham, Victoria Ashman and Steve Wells.

They will collectively help Allianz grow in the digital marketplace and bolster broker relationships.

Then, loss adjuster Woodgate and Clark announced the retirement of operations director Graeme Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick joined the company in 2012 and has spent the last 12 years in the organisation’s executive leadership team.

Following this, broker Gallagher made two major appointments within its specialty division.

The moves see Paul Bassett take on the role of chief executive for crisis management, while Simon Brookes has been appointed chief executive of financial lines.

After that, MGA Pen Underwriting appointed Hannah Fry as its new chief operating officer.

In her new role, Fry will take responsibility for Pen’s operational capabilities and help the MGA execute its strategy.

This week also saw Tony Coram be appointed as the new chief executive at Munich Re-owned business Great Lakes UK.

Coram joins from DAS UK, where he had been the top boss for over eight years.

And rounding off the week, the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) appointed Joe Brace as its new operations director.

In this role, he will support the implementation of Blueprint Two, focusing on testing, market readiness and adoption.
