His advisor portfolio include Rightindem and OSeven
Startupbootcamp InsurTech has hired Manjit Rana as its new managing director to head up its corporate innovation practice in insurance.
He will join the accelerator’s London branch to lead the development and launch of a new range of products and services while working closely with its chief executive Sabine VanderLinden.
But he will continue to be involved in the broader insurance industry as an advisor and regular speaker at industry events.
Rana was previously founder and chief executive of innovation consultancy, Ingenin Ltd and has experience across insurance and startups. He has helped insurers navigate insurtech disruption by honing their vision.
He said: “As we continue to engage with the insurance industry and understand their priorities, there is an opportunity to develop bespoke products and services to address the specific challenges faced when it comes to innovation.”
He has also co-founded various startup businesses such as Fujitsu Consulting and has an advisor portfolio which include Rightindem and OSeven.
VanderLinden, chief executive at Startupbootcamp, said: “Manjit’s role as advisor to leading InsurTech startups as well as having been a mentor for SBC InsurTech since 2015 among others, means that he is permanently well-informed on what matters for the industry.
“I am thrilled that he is joining our ever-growing team as we take the next step in our engagement with our existing partners, brokers, insurers and reinsurers, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-end solutions to the market.”
Launched in 2015, Startupbootcamp operates programmes in London and Hartford Connecticut. It believes that there is a “clear opportunity” to develop a range of products and services designed to help corporates build and operate programmes more effectively.
