Advisory boss ‘could not be happier’ to join forces with broker that shares similar values
Broker Partners& has bought Health Matters (UK), an employee benefits advisory business.
The deal forms part of the broker’s broader strategy to offer a seamless insurance, employee benefits and risk management proposition to its clients.
Founded in 1999, Coventry-based Health Matters currently employs 11 staff, who will all join the Partners& wellbeing, engagement and benefits team following the acquisition.
Health Matters’ managing director James Henson will subsequently report to Marcia Reid, managing partner of the wellbeing, engagement and benefits team at Partners&.
Meanwhile, Simon Hurley-Smith, Health Matters’ founder, will remain with the business after the transaction as an advisor and consultant to Partners&.
Aligning company values
Speaking on the deal, Phil Barton, chief executive of Partners&, said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon, James and the team to Partners&. We truly believe there is a direct correlation between the health and wellbeing of employees and the health of a business.
“By joining forces with Health Matters, we are bringing together experienced specialists at a time when clients really need that expertise to protect themselves, their people and their business.”
Hurley-Smith added: “Our company was built on five pillars - making a difference, quality service, pure transparency, people focus and forward thinking.
“It was obvious from the start that our values were very much in line with those of Partners& and we could not be happier to be joining forces with an award-winning company, whose focus is so clearly on clients and people.”
