’Both bring extensive expertise and a deep understanding of the Lloyd’s market,’ says chair
(Re)insurer MS Amlin has named Jo Hine and Andrew Downes as two new independent non-executive directors.
Hine will take over as chair of the risk and solvency committee, subject to regulatory approval.
Downes, meanwhile, joins the board following a 20-year stint as an audit partner at Deloitte.
Simon Jeffreys, chair of MS Amlin’s board, said: “I am delighted to welcome Hine and Downes to MS Amlin.
”Both bring extensive expertise and a deep understanding of the Lloyd’s market, making them valuable additions to the board as we continue to grow our business and strengthen our competitive position.”
Meanwhile, non-executive director and current chair of risk committee, Julie Hopes, will step down after more than three years.
Jeffreys added: “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Hopes for her dedicated service as a member of the MS Amlin board over a number of years and for her leadership of the risk and solvency committee.”
