’After an amazing 15 years at Allianz, I am starting a new chapter,’ says appointee
Simon Parrish has revealed he has left Allianz to join managing general underwriter (MGU) Victor Insurance as its new UK chief underwriting officer.
In a LinkedIn post, Parrish said he was “incredibly excited” to start working in his new role, which will see him lead the next phase of the MGU’s strategy.
He leaves Allianz after 15 years at the insurer, which he joined in 2008 as an underwriting graduate.
“After an amazing 15 years at Allianz, I am starting a new chapter and thrilled to share that I have joined Victor as their chief underwriting officer for the UK,” Parrish said.
“I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to work with such a dynamic team at Victor and contribute to the success of the organisation.
“I’m two days into the new role and already I’ve been blown away by the team’s capabilities and the passion to drive Victor UK to the next level.”
Experience
During his time at Allianz, Parrish held multiple senior roles, such as commercial motor portfolio manager and head of SME underwriting.

“Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my amazing journey at Allianz,” Parrish said.
“The opportunities, memories and friendships I’ve gained have been truly invaluable.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
