The expansion in risk appetite intends to offer brokers and leisure property owners greater flexibility via a wider range of cover options
MGA Commercial Express has launched a new leisure and park home product containing three leisure home schemes.
It aims to allow brokers to meet the needs of a wider range of leisure property owners.
The cover will be made available to owners of chalets, log cabins, park homes, shepherd huts, static caravans, glamping pods and lodges used as holiday homes or holiday lets situated on registered caravan sites.
Individuals using caravans as permanent residences will also be able to purchase cover.
Commercial Express managing director Duncan Pritchard said the launch signified a “significant step towards reinventing and improving our leisure and park home offering”.

The product was underwritten by A rated insurers Scor, Canopius and Ascot Group’s Syndicate 1414 at Lloyd’s.

“By partnering with Scor, Canopius and Ascot, we have brought together their expertise and reputation to provide our brokers with greater choice and a much wider risk appetite,” Pritchard added.
“This combined with our experienced claims team at Woodgate and Clark will ensure exceptional customer service and a seamless claims process.”
Features included in the product include accidental damage as a standard, no age limit on leisure homes and the option for policy holders to choose the valuation method for their property.
Additional optional covers include legal expenses, accidental damage caused by guests, malicious damage by guests, pedal cycles and sports equipment.
