Distribution business Jensten Group has completed its acquisitions of Melville Burbage and Henry Seymour and Co.
The deals bring an additional 37 specialist professionals and three offices, contributing over £20m in gross written premium (GWP) to the business.
The transactions, which form part of Jensten’s strategic regional expansion across the UK, were complete after receiving final regulatory approval.

The firms
Newbury-based Melville Burbage specialises in commercial insurance and provides services for a range of sectors.

This includes the construction, non-profit, professional services, engineering and printing industries.
Henry Seymour and Co, meanwhile, runs a number of specialist insurance schemes for professionals.
This includes catering for salons, clinics, gyms, spas and mobile or freelance therapists via its Salon Gold proposition, as well as servicing the trade and construction sector with its Tradesman Saver offering.
Speaking about the acquisitions, Hardie said: “The recent acquisition of Melville Burbage demonstrates our firm commitment to strategically broadening our expertise and capabilities, with a focus on establishing regional centres of excellence.
“The integration of Henry Seymour and Co signifies a significant leap forward in the growth of our schemes and affinities business, enhancing our capacity to offer market-leading specialist support to a diverse range of clients with very niche requirements.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
