Adrian Furness, managing director at Activate Group, talks about the company’s entry for the Challenger of the Year award

1. Why did you put yourselves forward for the Challenger of the Year category?

We entered because our ‘Repair as a Service’ solution is a practical and meaningful response to a real challenge in the industry.

Insurers, brokers and even competitors are seeking high quality repair capacity, especially for newer technologies like electric vehicles and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Our approach is open, collaborative and puts policyholders first by offering flexible, high-quality repairs with a host of modular support services that enhance rather than complete with the existing supply chain.

We believe this customer-first mindset is exactly what this award is all about.

2. What makes your entry stand out and why should you win?

We’ve taken a bold step away from traditional models to offer a solution that adapts to each client’s needs, whether they want just repairs or more support.

This flexibility, combined with our cutting-edge bodyshops and a focus on reducing repair time and cost, truly sets us apart as a challenger in the market.

3. What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

Winning would be an incredible recognition of the hard work and innovation our team has put into transforming the market.

It would mean so much to see our efforts to create something truly flexible and customer-focused celebrated.

It would inspire us to keep pushing boundaries and show that collaboration, not competition, can drive real change in our industry.
