’We’re already two like-minded organisations,’ says chief executive
Howden has signed a new deal to become the official partner of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
The three-year deal will see Howden use its branch network to support the 3,500-plus LTA registered venues.
The LTA and Howden will also collaborate closely with coaches and venues across the country to bring Tennis to more local communities.
The deal builds on Howden’s existing relationship with the LTA, with it having served as its official insurance broker for nearly 20 years.
Howden will continue in this role as part of the sponsorship deal.
Chris Pollard, LTA managing director of commercial and operations, said: “We at the LTA are thrilled to continue our partnership with Howden and have them on board as our official insurance broker.
“Our collaboration to support British coaches and venues will help our vision of Opening Tennis and Padel Up and deliver positive change through these sports across the country.”
Other partnerships
Howden also partners with The British and Irish Lions, Ascot Racecourse and Emirates GBR in SailGP’s sailing championship.

David Howden, chief executive and founder at Howden, said that adding the LTA to its roster of sponsorships means it has completed its “very own sporting Grand Slam”.
He added: “For almost two decades, Howden has been the insurance broker of choice for the LTA. But today we take it to the next level. We’re already two like-minded organisations.
“We both have a local presence in towns and cities the length and breadth of the UK. We both love serving our local communities. We are both equally passionate about nurturing grass roots sports. And we are both great British brand.
“But by doubling up, we can provide even better support to our fantastic members and customers.”
