Flood warning insurtech Previsico has promoted Colin Ross to the role of chief operating officer.
In his new role, Ross will oversee technical operations, driving project management frameworks and ensure delivery of the company’s advanced IoT systems in the UK and US markets.
His promotion comes following four and a half years with the insurtech, most recently as its head of service.
Ross said: “I am thrilled to be bringing my skills and experience to this new role, as Previsico continues to experience strong growth and increased market traction for its cutting-edge live flood forecasting solutions.
“I look forward to expanding our support in helping businesses become more flood resilient, both in the UK and US.”
Experience
Ross’ expertise spans managing project management functions, optimising business processes and ensuring the smooth operation of technical systems.

Prior to his time at Previsico, Ross was a senior project manager at Barratt Developments. He also worked at Hive for eight years.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
