FCA took over the regulation of claims management companies in April
The FCA has warned that the firm Report Accident Claim is operating without authorisation.
On the company’s website it says: “We have 20 years of experiences in car claim services” and that it has helped 9677 clients.
“From slam to the accident and from auto cases to whiplash auto claims, we have been putting forth an extensive variety of administrations. In any case, you have run over with the awful occurrence,” the website says.
The FCA said this firm is targeting people in the UK. “Based upon information we hold, we believe it is carrying on regulated activities which require authorisation,” the FCA said.
“We strongly advise you to only deal with financial firms that are authorised by us, and check the Financial Services Register to ensure they are. It has information on firms and individuals that are, or have been, regulated by us.”
The FCA began regulating claims management firms from 1 April this year.
