’I look forward to working with the talented professionals at DWF to further enhance our claims management services,’ says appointee
Global law firm DWF Law has appointed Gallagher’s Simon Pemberton as the new global head of corporate claims for its claims management and adjusting (CMA) business.
Pemberton brings more than 30 years of experience to his new role, having held senior positions across the insurance claims management sector.
He began his career at RSA as a motor and casualty claims underwriter in July 1990 and was most recently the UK chief executive at Gallagher Bassett.
In this role, he was responsible for leading the UK executive team and, according to DWF, he was “a key member of the international executive and global strategy team”.
Pemberton said: “I am delighted to join DWF and to lead the global corporate claims team.
“I look forward to working with the talented professionals at DWF to further enhance our claims management services and deliver the best possible support to our clients.”
Global expansion
The appointment follows DWF’s acquisition of Australian claims management company Proclaim in September 2024.

The deal saw a string of appointments made to DWF Law’s CMA practice, including Antonio Herrera Sancho as head of CMA in Spain, Darren Goldman as head of CMA in North America and Luca Schilardi as head of CMA in Europe.
Paul Cowen, global head of claims management and adjusting at DWF Law, said Pemberton’s experience will “play a crucial role” as the firm looks to continue expanding its practice globally.
“We are thrilled to welcome Pemberton to our team,” Cowen added.
