Broker Clear Group has acquired Vision Insurance Services to expand its presence in the south east of England.
Based in Surrey, Vision is a broker that provides propositions for a range of clients, including sole traders, SMEs and large corporates.
Since being established in 2010, the firm has made a series of acquisitions to grow its offerings. It currently controls £10m in gross written premium (GWP).
Now it has been purchased by Clear Group, Vision’s founders David and Claire MacKinnon, along with their team of 17 employees, will all join the broker.
‘Great fit’
Speaking about the deal, Clear Group chief executive Mike Edgeley said: “We were both certain their business would be a great fit with ours at some point in the future.

David MacKinnon added that the acquisition came after his business “attracted significant interest from potential buyers”.
He added: “It was vitally important we considered carefully what was best for Vision, our people and clients.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
