This ’is an excellent opportunity for insurance professionals who have ideas and wish to spread their wings and influence the sector,’ says president
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has put out a call for the latest cohort of its New Generation Programme, with entries to the professional body’s flagship talent scheme now open.
Applicants will be split into four groups centred around claims, underwriting, broking and London market and will be tasked to produce a project intended to make a “significant difference” to the insurance profession.
As part of this, successful applicants will present their projects to the CII Group Board and will have the opportunity to attend talks from members of Parliament, training on leadership and media handling and other learning, development and networking opportunities.
Projects usually take six months to complete and applicants are drawn from across the country, with successful applicants having to prove that they have made “significant strides” in their professional development.
Now in its thirteenth year, previous projects include the Insurance Influencer campaign to attract more young talent to the industry and the Traumatic and Distressing Claims report.
Applicants must also be CII members, working within the insurance industry and usually hold between five and 10 years’ experience.
Applications must be made via the CII website and are open until Monday 19 August 2024.
Excellent opportunity
Ian Callaghan, president of the CII Group, said: ”The CII’s New Generation Programme is an excellent opportunity for insurance professionals who have ideas and wish to spread their wings and influence the sector.
