The appointee replaces Jonathan Poole, who has decided to leave the insurer
Insurer Chubb has appointed Andy Houston as it new UK head of commercial insurance, effective from February 2025.
Houston will lead the firm’s newly established commercial insurance division, which has been created to serve clients in the middle market.
The appointee most recently served as executive vice president and Southwest region commercial insurance manager in North America for Chubb. He will move from the US to be based in London for his new role.
He has been employed at Chubb for 17 years in total, having started his career in 2006 as middle market and multinational manager in Chicago, Illinois. He also worked as Zurich’s head of international and Canadian casualty product underwriting for one year starting in 2016, before returning to Chubb in 2017.
Houston will report to Mark Roberts, division president for the UK, Ireland and South Africa. He replaces Jonathan Poole, who has decided to exit Chubb.
