’Sub-brokers working with our wholesale team will be able to get new access to bespoke products,’ says managing director
Bridge Insurance Brokers has revealed that it is launching a new specialist wholesale division.
The arm will operate across the firm’s Manchester and London offices and aims to help third party brokers access bespoke products and specialist cover.
Ryan Sturges and Max Orrin have been recruited to manage the wholesale team and will report into Robin Gleeson, managing director at the London office.
Gleeson said: “Sub-brokers working with our wholesale team will be able to get new access to bespoke products and specialist cover, supported by our expertise and experience.
“These tailored solutions could give them an advantage over their competitors and open new opportunities while expanding our own market base. We can’t wait for the team to get started.”
Job roles
Sturges will take on the role of head of wholesale development, having previously been employed as a broker and development underwriter.

He more recently moved into business development manager roles and was a real estate sales director prior to joining Bridge.
Meanwhile, Orrin joins as a wholesale broker, having worked in commercial accounting handling and specialising in property and real estate.
Both will be based in London, but will work closely with Manchester-based delegated underwriting executives Tiffaney Pollard and Alexander McDonald.
Sturges said: “I’ll be combining my actual broking and underwriting experience with my sales training and approach, working with third party businesses to expand our broker footprint and ensuring they benefit from our close working relationships and ability to secure cover for a wide range of risks.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
