The transaction is the firm’s seventh acquisition since becoming an Ethos Broking partner
Regional broker Saffron Insurance has acquired Romford-based independent broker C&M Insurance, a Broker Network member.
The acquisition is Saffron Insurance’s seventh since it became an Ethos Broking partner back in 2018.
In 2019, Saffron Insurance bought Stuart and Co, Continuum, Grove Insurance, Farmer Insurance, Bridge Insurance and Sharer Chapman.
Acquisitional growth
C&M Insurance, established in 1996, is owned and run by Sunil Shah, who works with seven staff members – Shah and his employees will all remain with the business following the acquisition.
The general commercial broker manages £1.6m gross written premium (GWP).
Saffron Insurance managing director Steve Seekings said: “This is a fantastic start to the year for us and we’re excited to begin 2020 as we mean to go on.
“C&M Insurance is a great business and complements our existing commercial offering perfectly.”
Ethos Broking is a collection of brokers that share similar values but retain their own brand DNA. The group consists of 10 regional centres and 21 satellites.
