The partners are on a ‘mission’ to address cover challenges in the commercial bike sector
Cycle insurance specialist Bikmo has signed a new three-year deal with the Association of Cycle Traders (ACT).
The partnership will see Bikmo extend its commercial insurance services to 4,000 businesses represented by the ACT.
Those businesses will include retailers, manufacturers, suppliers, hire centres and bike workshops.
Bikmo global head of partnerships Rob Grisdale highlighted that “insurance should be a reliable lifeline when the unexpected happens, but in recent years businesses are struggling to find cover without gaps or impracticable terms”.
“We are very excited to be working with the ACT to support their members with specialist insurance advice and cover,” he added.
“We feel a strong sense of duty to step up and make insurance work for and not against our industry cohort.
“The ACT, together with our trusted insurers, are perfect partners for this mission.”

From this week, ACT gold and silver member retailers will be able to access a 10% and 5% discount on their business insurance respectively.
ACT director Jonathan Harrison said: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Bikmo.
“The partnership represents a significant step forward in our mission to support and strengthen the cycling industry.
“By offering our members access to specialist insurance services that understand the unique challenges of our sector, we’re ensuring that they are better equipped to thrive.”
