Aviva is opening a new regional underwriting branch in Cardiff to expand its presence in South Wales.
The new office is situated in Capital Tower, Greyfriars Road, and will officially open at the beginning of May 2025.
It will further support Aviva’s brokers in the area, while expanding its presence and coverage across South Wales.
The office will be led by branch manager Lee Grainger and Greg Donald, regional broker development manager.

The new office opening reinforces Aviva’s plans to bring decision-making closer to brokers and customers across different regions.

In 2024, the insurer opened Southampton and Chelmsford offices and expanded branches in Bristol, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester and Belfast.
Ahead of the Cardiff branch opening, Aviva will be recruiting to complement the existing South Wales team, bringing it to more than 20 commercial and distribution colleagues.
Martin said the new branch “underscores our unwavering commitment to strengthening our regional presence, visibility and responsiveness to brokers and customers across the UK”.
“The opening of our Cardiff office also positions Aviva as the only insurer with a dedicated, physical mid-market premises in Cardiff, enhancing our ability to provide tailored services locally,” he added.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
