Ardonagh-owned reinsurance broker Price Forbes Re has appointed Colin Kelley as its new chief commercial officer.
In the newly created role, Kelley will work with the insurance, reinsurance and capital markets teams to develop propositions for clients and trading partners.
His appointment comes as Price Forbes Re looks to further expand in London, Bermuda and the US.
Kelley said: “As the correlation of capital between insurance and reinsurance continues to evolve, there are excellent opportunities for Price Forbes Re to support clients and develop our own growth.
“The team is full of enthusiasm for the direction in which Price Forbes Re is headed and I am excited to continue to push the business to the next level with this new role.”
Experience
Kelley, who has more than two decades of experience in insurance and reinsurance, joined the business in 2020 as managing director.

Before this, he worked at Sompo International as its commercial lines practice leader for professional lines.
He will report to Chris Bonard, president at Price Forbes Re, in his new role.
Bonard said: “Kelley’s deep industry knowledge and understanding of the Price Forbes Re ethos make him the perfect fit for this role.
“His relationship centred approach will help us drive growth while continuing to deliver high quality solutions for our clients and trading partners across our key markets.
“His expertise in managing commercial lines and understanding the evolving capital dynamics in the reinsurance industry makes him a key asset within our leadership team.”
His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
