Specialist travel provider Ancile Insurance Group has appointed Simon Trott as its new chief executive.
Trott, who took up the role on 2 April 2024, will be responsible for leading the firm’s growth strategy and plans.
He was most recently the chief operating officer of Ripe Thinking, while he has also held senior roles at Howden and Towergate Insurance during his career.
”With a proven track record in the insurance industry, Trott has held various leadership positions, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex market landscapes and drive business success,” Ancile said.

Trott’s appointment is the latest strategic move in Ancile’s growth plans.

Over the past year, the firm has made investments in its leadership team, with it appointing Michael Burns as head of finance, Tiffany Coll as head of operations, Matthew Taylor as head of pricing and Grant Winter as compliance officer.
