The organisations have agreed a five-year partnership
Ageas has agreed to underwrite a new range of home insurance products for Post Office Insurance with the businesses confirming a five-year partnership.
The newly built proposition, which offers gold, silver and bronze levels of cover, has been supported by a data-driven, reduced question set. The product range has also been designed to have clear policy wordings and offer a mobile first experience.
Ed Dutton, managing director at Post Office Insurance, said: “We have a close and enduring partnership with Ageas built up over many years and so we knew they were the people who could make insurance easy for our customers.
“For us, this isn’t just a new range of products – it’s a completely different approach as we’ve now got an Ageas trained in-house team to deliver our customer sales and service.
“This new product offering and exciting partnership offers us a significant platform to grow in one of our core verticals and we look forward to working with Ageas to build a substantial presence in this market.”
‘Trusted partner’
The new gold level of home insurance provides policyholders with up to £1m of buildings and £100,000 of contents cover, with some enhanced insurance benefits. The silver level offers up to £1m of buildings and £80,000 of contents cover, while bronze home insurance gives up to £750,000 of buildings and £50,000 of contents cover.
All levels, which are available for new and existing customers, include access to a legal helpline service; customers can also opt for extra home emergency cover or family legal protection insurance, if they wish.
Ant Middle, chief customer officer at Ageas, added: “Post Office Insurance is a well-known brand and we’re proud to be chosen as its trusted partner to continue to deliver its home insurance proposition.
“The teams on both sides have worked tremendously hard to create a fresh portfolio of products that make home insurance easy for Post Office customers.”
