’We are thrilled with the acquisitions,’ says president
Acrisure has acquired two brokers as it looks to expand its UK footprint.
The latest buys include Global Broking Solutions (GBS) Financial and Credit Insurance Services (FinCred), which Acrisure said would enhance its presence in the South of England.
This region is currently managed by Sutton Winson, Acrisure’s largest UK acquisition to date.
By acquiring GBS, Acrisure said it had secured a client base that spans all parts of Kent and East Sussex.
The firm said this would help it form offices in these areas.
FinCred
FinCred, meanwhile, is a credit insurance broker that is also based in Kent, but additionally has a worldwide book of business.

Hannah Lyon-Wall, managing director of Fincred, spent more than six years at Markel International prior to taking over the family-owned business in 2016.
Acrisure said the purchase of GBS complemented its acquisition of FinCred.
Mark McIlquham, president of Acrisure UK retail, said: “We are excited to continue our expansion in southern England with these two acquisitions, led by the world-class Sutton Winson team.
”Hannah is a proven leader with a phenomenal track record and a huge future in the industry. We are genuinely delighted to welcome her and the rest of the team onboard.”
Gareth Roberts, managing director of Sutton Winson, added: “We are thrilled with the acquisitions of FinCred and GBS and this is the beginning of something special we are building with Acrisure in the South.
”Acrisure will continue to support us in acquiring businesses with whom we can culturally align. We now control close to £70m GWP and expect that figure to surpass £100m within the next two years through a combination of organic and inorganic growth.”
